Many people are not familiar with the concrete acid staining process and how it works.  Simply put, a special stain mixture is used which produces a chemical reaction between the acid stain and the concrete.  This means that the results you achieve are permanent and durable, as the color of the concrete is actually changed due to the ability of the stain to penetrate the concrete.  Surfaces are degreased and scrubbed thoroughly prior to application, so that the acid stain can penetrate the pores for contact with elements in the concrete such as calcium and/or lime.  The finished look is absolutely stunning, and will amaze you.

Once your garage, driveway or patio has been acid stained, a sealer can be applied to enhance shine and depth.  While acrylic is the most popular due to its durability and cost, polyurethane and polyaspartics are other options.  Keep the surface clean, and your surfaces will retain their beautiful, distinctive look for as long as your concrete lasts.
